PTFE
PTFE coatings been applied to a variety of metallic and non metallic substrates. Although carbon and stainless steel and their alloys and aluminium are most common, other include brass, copper, magnesium, fin, lead, titanium glass and certain plastic. Any or all these properties can revolutionize performance.PTFE coating job is being done by using the most up to date and modern machinery and employing latest technology. The entire job is being done by a team of dedicated workers supervised by the most competent expert in the field. Due to our total commitment towards our products and 100% job satisfaction we have been approved and registered with the Govt. of India under the below mentioned certifications.
Along with our customers we develop tailor – made solution for highly demanding industrial coating applications. These solutions exploit the synergy of the effects of different types of surface enhancement. To ensure your better understanding we herewith provide some examples for your perusal.
PTFE Industrial Coatings
PTFE coatings are unique industrial non stick systems with properties unmatched by any other fluoropolymer coatings.High performance teflon coatings can be used to cut production costs and increase productivity which make them ideal for an infinite variety of applications.PTFE coatings differ from other fluoropolymer coatings in one very important aspect. They are composite materials, Lubricants with the lowest known coefficient of friction are combined with newest high temperature resistance organic polymers with following unique properties.
- Lowest coefficient of friction
- Excellent release & non-stick properties
- Non wetting – both hydrophobic & oleophobic
- Thermal stability over wide operating temperature range: from 4000F to 5000F
- Unique electrical properties such as high dielectric strength.
- High surface resistivity and low dissipation factor.
Low Coefficient Of Friction
The coefficient of friction of teflon is generally in the range of 0.05 to 0.20 depending on the load, sliding speed, and particular Teflon coating used.
Nonstick:
- Very few solid substances will permanently adhere to a Teflon coated finish. Although tacky materials may show some adhesion, almost all substances release easily.
Non Wetting:
- Since surfaces coated with Teflon are both oleo phobic and hydrophobic, they are not readily wetted. Clean up is easier and more through – in many cases, surfaces are self – cleaning.
Heat Resistance:
- PTFE industrial coatings can operate continuously at temperature up to 2600C / 5000F with adequate ventilation.
Unique Electrical Properties:
- Over a wide range of frequencies, PTFE has high dielectric strength, low dissipation factor and very high surface resistivity, By special techniques, it can even be made electroconductive enough to be used as an anti-static coating.
Cryogenic Stability:
- Many PTFE industrial coatings withstand severe temperature extremes without loss of physical properties. PTFE industrial coatings may used at temperature as low as 2700C /-4540F
Chemical Resistance:
- PTFE is normally unaffected by chemical environments. The only chemicals known to affect all PTFE industrial coatings are molten alkali metals and highly reactive fluorinating agents.
